Best Red Carpet Gowns so far this year (2015)

I recently found a website complete with all the best worn dresses this year on the red carpet ranging with stars like Kendall Jenner to J.lo. So I thought I would share my personal favorites. The red carpet is always wonderful to see how the different designers interpret elegance.

Emma Stone during the 68th annual Cannes film festival
This bubble style skirt on the dress shows off Emma's waist well, you would expect someone of Emma's colouring to struggle to wear such a black lacy dress but despite this sterotype, she still looks beautiful. I especially love the bracelet sleeves as the see-through lace prevents the dress from being completely black.
Blake Lively at the Age of Adaline premiere
Blake looks to die for in this red number. The feathered skirt gives a unique look to the dress. It separates and prevent the dress from being completely red lace and gives it a 1920's element.
Brooke Anderson at the 20th annual Critic's choice moviue awards
Brooke's dress here represents the colours of a peacock, the blues, purples and greens contrast with the black perfectly. The sweetheart neckline really suits Brooke and the colours match her skin tone very well.
Kendall Jenner at the amfAR gala
This red dress really accentuates Kendall's slim figure. I really love the unusual neck line on this dress. I also think that the simplicity is perfect for Kendall. However the slit up the leg perhaps isn't needed as the dress already shows a lot of skin.
Jenna Dewan -Tatum at the Academy Awards
Its all about the detail on Jenna's dress above, the tiny sparkles and sequins up the front and then around the neckline really make the dress so elegant.
Reese Witherspoon at the Academy Awards
Reese's Dress here is inspired by the Art Deco era, the thin black band accentuates her tiny waist and the thick one shows off her upper body profile.
Stana Katic at the Peoples Choice Awards
This sweetheart neckline dress is perfect for Stana, the colour really shows off her skin tone and the speckles reminds me of a champagne bottle bursting everywhere, very stylish.
Greer Grammer at the Golden Globe Awards
Despite this dress being nude, Greer still looks like a hollywood princess, as the gold elements give the dress more sparkle and style.
Nina Dobrev at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Nina looks phenomenal is this red number, I know red has appeared a lot this year on the carpet, bu Nina has taken it to a whole new level. The cut outs near the waist give the dress an Indian/Bollywood look and with Nina's complexion and dark features she could easily fit right in with the Bollywood scene. I also really like the shoulders on this dress, the jewel-neckline and sleeves keep the dress modest. Therefore your attention is focused on her waist.
Anna Kendrick at the Golden Globe Awards
I was really surprised to see Anna in a dress like this. Normally Anna goes for a block colour dress with small detail. However this dress is the complete opposite. The purple band round her waist compliments the purple leaf decoration on the dress. The low v-neck also suits Anna really well. However I am not sure if nude suits her pale complexion.

Heidi Klum at the Golden Globe Awards
All eyes definitely were on Hedi in this dress. The usual neckline and two types of material are extremely glamorous. Plus the slit up the leg is perfect for Hedi's gorgeous long legs. By sweeping her hair to the opposite side of the low cut on the dress it gives the dress more emphasis and shows off her assets.
Erin Fetherston at the CFDA Fashion Awards
Erin looks like she has walked straight out of vogue in this one. This dress however does look like a top and a skirt due to the two materials on the bottom and the top. The flowery bottom half is similar to the 70's hippie dresses but with more sophistication.
Li Bingbing at the Cannes Film Festival
Wow. This dress provides sparkle, style and sweetness for Li. The fishtail fitted dress is perfect for her figure and the material from the waist is very luxurious. The amount of detail to this dress is incredible. The see-through material on the neck line makes the sequins look as if they were decorating her skin. The pale colour is also very beautiful.
Emma Rossum at the Independent Spirit Awards
This dress may not be red carpet glam but its beautiful all the same. The range of colours in the flowers is wonderful against the plain material. The flowers are so distinctive that you barely recognise the material at all.
Bee Shafer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Gala
This kimono style dress is to die for. The colour, the flowery decoration and the bird on the back (which you can't really see) are wonderful. The chapel style train on the dress with the wavy edge also adds to the complexity of this dress. Kimono dresses are known to be authentic and elaborate but this dress is beyond that. There is so many elements to appreciate in this dress, therefore Bee doesn't need a fancy hair-do or statement make up as the dress does it all for her.
Natalie Portman at the Cannes Film Festival
I really shouldn't out this one on because it is the dress I love, its Nina. However the dress is Dior, this slim fit is great and the pointy sweetheart neckline is very unusual. But then Nina could wear a binbag and look terrific.
