Product Review :Nakd Bar Lemon

BLIMEY RILEY! This one was tricky to get hold of, released last June and I have only just found it on the shelves in Tesco now. Oh dear, I'm a bit behind everyone else but here goes....

The packaging is lovely, very bright and colourful so it is not difficult to miss it on the shelves.
I love the idea of a lemon drizzle bar and many of nakd's cakes/pudding flavours have been a success so I'm hoping this one will be too. I also have never seen any other fruit and nut bars that are lemon flavoured.

Appearance-wise, it is a lot paler than the other nakd bars and the ingredients are slightly different; Dates(53%), Raisins (19%) , Almonds (11%), Coconut (10%), Cashews (6%), Lemon (1%) and a hint of natural flavouring.

Upon my first bite, I got a zingy but yet sweet taste followed by a slightly sour aftertaste. (I would like to add that I couldn't really taste the 10% coconut ).
The texture is very moist, chewy sand a little crumbly ... like a cake!
I think it tastes exactly like a lemon drizzle cake. It's perfect for citrus lovers and I am yet to find the Nakd bar that my picky little sister likes so I'm hoping that due to her love of lemon cake she might like this one!
My mum the lemon-acholic said this is her favourite bar, but for me, I would say it's a safe fourth after Cashew Cookie, Peanut Butter and Cherry Bakewell!
